Weave (and sew) a bag
Do you want to weave fabric with your own hands and then sew a bag from it? Come to us for a weekend experience course combining hand weaving and machine sewing.
No previous experience is needed, anyone can join!
- you will create a design for your fabric (we use Soft Donegal yarn, 100% merino wool)

Saturday
On Saturday you will learn the basics of weaving on a hand loom and weave your own piece of fabric about 50 cm wide.
We will wash and dry the piece of the fabric you have created overnight so that it is ready to use the next day.
On Saturday we will start at 10:00 and with a lunch break between approximately 13:00 and 14:00 we will work until 17:00.
Sunday
On Sunday we will go to the sewing machines, learn the basics of sewing and immerse ourself in the process of sewing.
Each bag will be made of wool fabric woven by you, waxed cotton and leather straps, which we will attach with rivets.
On Sunday we will start at 9:00 with a lunch break as needed and we will work until the bag is finished, but no later than 16:00.
The maximum number of participants is 3 people.
The price for a two-day course including materials for one bag is 4,500 CZK.
The course price includes, in addition to the instructor´s wages, quality wool for weaving, the loan of all necessary weaving tools and equipment. Use of the workshop and a fully prepared loom (i.e. warped loom).
Coffee and tea are available throughout the course. Small kitchenette is also available. It is possible to order a joint lunch by arrangement - please contact us in advance in case you are interested.
If you want to pay for the course on site, you can order with the delivery option of "Personal Collection". After your order, we will sent you an invoice (for 1000 CZK as a reservation fee), which must be paid in advance. The rest can be paid on site.
CANCELLATION POLICY: You can change your reservation 14 days before the booked date. In case of cancellation less than 14 days before the agreed date, or in case of no-show, the deposit will be forfeited in full without any refund. The date can only be changed once.
